Information we collect

When you create and use a BandMate account, we may collect your name, email address, encrypted password, profile picture, band memberships, invitations, gig information, attendance responses and messages you submit through the service.

If you enable push notifications, we store a device registration token so that we can deliver BandMate notifications to your device. We may also process basic technical and security information needed to operate, diagnose and protect the service.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Create and secure your account.
• Show you your bands, members, gigs, invitations and attendance information.
• Deliver service messages, password-reset emails and push notifications.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and protect BandMate.

Sharing and service providers

Your band-related information is visible to other members of the relevant band where needed for BandMate features. We also use trusted hosting, database, email delivery and push-notification providers to operate the service. These providers process information on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as it is needed to provide BandMate, meet legal or security obligations, and resolve disputes. Passwords are stored as password hashes, not as readable passwords. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and account deletion

You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing support@sariftech.com from the email address associated with your account. For an account deletion request, use the subject BandMate Account Delete Request. See our account deletion instructions for details.

You can disable push notifications through your device settings. Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate security and record-keeping needs.

Children

BandMate is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as BandMate changes. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
